Hal Hartley using Kickstarter to complete his latest film

Hal Hartley is finishing up his first movie since 2006’s Fay Grim, and he needs your help. The director of Henry Fool, Amateur, Trust, and No Such Thing is using Kickstarter to complete his film Meanwhile. Here’s a synopsis:

Meanwhile concerns Joe Fulton, a man who can do anything from fixing your sink to arranging international financing for a construction project. He produces online advertising and he’s written a big fat novel. He’s also a pretty good drummer. But success eludes him.

For Joe can’t keep himself from fixing other people’s problems. His own ambitions are constantly interrupted by his willingness and ability to go out of his way for others.

Funding the project will get you various perks, including lobby cards, a limited edition DVD, and a soundtrack CD. Big backers will attend the premiere screening and the after party. Visit the Kickstarter page for Meanwhile for more information. We have the Kickstarter video for Meanwhile after the cut, and it features partial nudity. Everybody wins.
