Harrison Ford and Abigail Breslin join Ender’s Game cast

A month ago it was just a possibility, but now it’s official: Harrison Ford has signed to play Colonel Hyrum Graff in Ender’s Game. This could be a big boost for Ford after Cowboys & Aliens got lost in the summer’s big releases like a blind polecat in the desert. Abigail Breslin has also signed on for Ender’s Game and will play Valentine Wiggin, Ender Wiggin’s older sister.

The cast has been filling up nicely since it was announced that the film will be released in March 2013. Asa Butterfield was tapped for the title role, as was his Hugo co-star Ben Kingsley, and both have apparently accepted; True Grit‘s Hailee Steinfeld is on board as well. Still no word on a start date for production, but you can assume it’ll be in in the next few months to hit that release date. This looks like it’s going to happen, people. They’re now buying snowboards in hell.
