Hawkeye star Jeremy Renner confirms production has begun

There hasn’t been a whole lot of new Marvel original series on Disney+ yet but we finally know Hawkeye is back on track. Jeremy Renner took to social media to share a very important update that confirms production is back on track. The simple Instagram story he posted simply states “time to start stretching” with the official Hawkeye logo. Fans who are looking forward to the new Disney+ series won’t have to worry about the future for this series anymore, following delays.

As we know this will focus on both Hawkeyes, Barton and Kate Bishop, as it will showcase both their journeys throughout the series. Comicbook.com did an interview back in October with Trinh Tran, the producer for Avengers: Endgame who said the following about the upcoming series:

Well, they’re both Hawkeyes in a way, right?” Tran said. “So you want to make sure… I’m always interested in introducing new characters. And now we have a fascinating young female who is very interested in this role. So you’re going to see a balance of both.

Hawkeye for me was a memorable character and I think he, like Bucky, Loki, Falcon Wanda, Vision, etc, definitely deserve their shows. Thankfully that is just what Disney+ aims to give us. We just have to wait a little bit longer sadly but hopefully later this year will get more updates on Hawkeye and other highly anticipated shows making their way to Disney’s growing streaming service.
