Here’s a list of rumored Fast and Furious 7 directors

Since Universal has recently upped the ante of Fast and Furious sequel production, with Vin Diesel himself saying the se7enth installment will film this Summer, and Justin Lin backed out of the franchise because the rapid production would not allow him to put out the best product, Universal has been scrambling to fill the director’s chair.

The folks at Latino Review got word of a few directors Universal is scoping out. There’s Jeff Wadlow (Kick-Ass 2), who LR thinks has the best chance since he’s already working with Universal, Brad Furman (The Lincoln Lawyer), who made me love Matthew McConaughey again, and Harald Zwart (The Karate Kid), who’s adaptation of The Mortal Instruments seems to be a new Twilight contender. I…don’t like any of these names. Sure I had no idea who Justin Lin was when he started, but that was before Fast and Furious was a thing that could be ruined. Wadlow could be okay, but given the trailer for Kick-Ass 2, his take on action is already disappointing.

Then again, I don’t have any suggestions. Hell, just let Vin Diesel take over. He obviously loves the hell out of the films and did you see Los Bandoleros? It was a fantastic short film prequel to Fast Five Diesel directed. To make you feel better about these choices, I put the newest one-sheet for Fast and the Furisix in the gallery below. Do any of you have director suggestions? Or would you rather have one of these directors to take on the series until FasTen Your Seatbelts
