Here’s our first look at Pixar’s next emotional rollercoaster Soul

0

If you thought Inside Out and Coco were emotionally stimulating, get ready for the next one from Pixar. Soul stars Jamie Foxx as a middle school teacher who wants nothing more than to become a jazz musician and ends up accidentally dying after getting his dream job.

His journey leads him to the afterlife to get his soul back into his body. The place he ends up at, ‘You Seminar,’ is where souls are shaped and given their uniqueness before they end up in our human bodies. Now if that’s not an interesting plot I don’t know what is. Look, Inside Out took us on a journey inside our minds and now we’re going to find out what truly makes us uniquely individual.

Entertainment Weekly shared the first look image showing Foxx’s character Joe Gardner and I have to say we can’t judge too much from this but it does look interesting. Tina Fey will also be starring in the film alongside Foxx as another soul named 22 who is the total opposite of Gardner and hates humans and earth itself. You can probably think of her as the “Disgust” character in the world of Soul. We haven’t seen a full-length trailer yet and I am already getting emotionally attached to Foxx’s character. Good job Pixar.

We don’t have long to wait to go on this soul-enriching journey, so get your Kleenex boxes ready. Soul hits theaters on June 19, 2020.
