The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 was pretty good. It’s the best in a rough series and stands out due to some great decisions. But one of the clunkier ones was “The Hanging Tree.” A song featured in the book, it was in the middle of a scene that felt completely out of place.
Without giving too much away, it was an out of nowhere tonal shift. But hey, the song is good so enjoy.
