Despite all of my better judgement, and how many times I’ve reviewed terrible comedy sequels made years later, I’m actually looking forward to Joe Dirt 2: Beautiful Loser. The first one holds a lot of memories for me as I got it on VHS and watched it about 60 times since we didn’t have cable, and seeing the first teaser for the film brings back all sorts of good feelings.
I’m not sure how I feel about the teaser since it’s so short and it’s not like the original was high class art anyway, so who knows? It’s another one of Sony Crackle’s films, and their first big film was pretty great, so maybe this’ll be too? On the other hand, this sequel forgets his newer wig at the end of the first film. Joe Dirt 2: Beautiful Loser hits Crackle July 16th.
