Hey! You got Catfish all over my Paranormal Activity 3

For those of you who can’t wait to watch the same exact movie you watched last Halloween, boy do I have some news for you.

Dread Central reports that Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman, the team behind last years “other” Facebook movie Catfish, are on board for the next installment of the Paranormal Activity franchise. Though it’s yet to be determined at what capacity they will be used, it’s still an interesting addition to the franchise.

While I actually enjoyed Catfish alot (thankfully the ending wasn’t spoiled for me), I’m also one of those people who happens to hate the Paranormal Activity series and “ghost horror” in general. First I was tricked into watching it because everybody was raving about it and it turned out to be pretty stupid. Then when the second one came out, Flixist gave it a couple of decent reviews, so I decided to give it another shot. As it turns out, the sequel was just as stupid as the original and was essentially Paranormal Activity 1 with a baby and a dog. The fact that the Paranormal Activity series is the new Saw and we’re getting a new one every year is beyond me, and frankly I can’t wait for these movies to stop making money.

Fool me once, shame on you
Fool me twice, shame on me
Fool me three times with the promise of the Catfish duo being involved, I must be a glutton for disappointment.
