Highlander reboot gets a new director

0

For a movie series with the tagline of there being only one there sure are a lot of people coming in and out of the reboot of Highlander. The series finally ground to a halt a few years ago after it just got truly too bad to handle, but Summit is planning on bringing back from the dead with a reboot, and they’ve landed their director… again. Cedric Nicolas-Troyan will take the film over in his first directing gig.

Not the best sign that a first time director is landing the job, but maybe he’s a truly undiscovered talent who can breathe some actual life into a stale franchise. The screenplay is going through some rewrites with Nicolas-Troyan over viewing them and then production will start next year. We still don’t know who will be starring as Ryan Reynolds backed out and who knows if Nicolas-Troyan will stick around as this reboot has been around for years and lost multiple directors. Hopefully something good gets off the ground this time.
