Insidious: The Last Key has trailer and literal, non-literal artwork

Hollywood’s been lying about movies called “The Last” for some time. In fact, ever since the Saw franchise was reopened with Jigsaw after Saw promised to end when the 7th film was called The Final Chapter we’ve known that series were never truly dead, much like Fred Rogers (he lives in my building, I swear). My point being, don’t expect this to be the last Insidious, especially if it makes enough at the box office. And if this trailer is any indication, it will.

Still not convinced that Hollywood’s been lying about “The Last” movies? Let’s do the list.

Saw 7: The Final Chapter: the final chapter? No.

The Last Samurai: were there more samurai? Yes.

X-Men: The Last Stand: More X-Men movies? Yes. Three so far.

The Last Boy Scout: was either Damon Wayans or Bruce Willis a boy scout? NO. Hell no.

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Even Indy’s not sacrosanct. We’ve had one, with one more on the way.

And Insidious gives away its game with this poster proving that they’ve made the fugliest key chain ever.
