I absolutely adored Being Elmo: A Puppeteer’s Journey, and I was delighted to be able to talk to director Constance Marks and puppeteer Kevin Clash about the film. We spoke a bit about Clash’s work, Elmo’s past, and what aspiring puppeteers can do to get into the business. The documentary goes into more detail about Clash’s life, and it hit theaters in select cities this past Friday.
