Is Superman heading to Africa?

A synopsis for Zack Snyder’s upcoming Superman: Man of Steel was found by Bleeding Cool on the Baseline Studio System. It reads as follows:

A young reporter named Clark Kent roams the world covering various news stories. When he is compelled to use his secret powers to intervene in a crisis in West Africa, he returns to Smallville to learn more about his origins and the hero he was born to be.

Rumors of Superman’s involvement in Africa were reported by Collider last November, although this synopsis is the first time it has been mentioned in any remotely official capacity. (Bleeding Cool speculate that Warner Bros might have registered the synopsis with a casting agency, who then put it on Baseline). According to Collider’s more recent speculation, these details would line Man of Steel up with the comic Birthright by Mark Wain. Given how Snyder’s approach to the movie is causing some fury among Superman fans on the Flixist staff, what are your feelings on this latest revelation?
