James Cameron may finally have a release date for Avatar 2

0

Avatar 2 has been delayed for a long, long time, but over the weekend James Cameron’s sequel might have gotten a release date. The people at 20th Century Fox have been adjusting their release schedules, and they have an untitled James Cameron project penciled in for December 20th, 2018.

If the December 20, 2018 date holds, that will mean Avatar 2 will come out 9 years after the first Avatar film. It’s unclear when the two other Avatar sequels (ah jeez) will come out and how much more interest in the franchise will wane in the interim. Current plans are to release the other Avatar movies until 2023.

Keep in mind that Avatar 2 might be delayed yet again. You can erase pencil. Some pens are erasable, too, come to think of it. And you can scratch out pen, or maybe use white out to cover up a mistake. Given Cameron’s ambitious plans for glasses-less 3D, yeah, Avatar 2 is probably getting delayed again next year.

What do you think about Avatar 2? More importantly, what do you think about the above image of Vladimir Putin shaking hands with Steven Seagal? Let us know in the comments.
