By Anton Chigurh himself is in talks to play the lead villain in the unfortunately titled Despicable Me 2. Bardem, who recently wrapped on a new Terrance Malick movie, would play El Macho, a villain who is probably going to do villainous things. Like taking care of a few of those Minions. That’d be nice.
Bardem has been a very high demand actor ever since he won the Oscar for No Country for Old Men, and for very good reason. The dude is a great actor, so seeing him lend his voice to a fun goofy movie is a nice change of pace for him. I’d like to see this happen.
