Jon and Erich Hoeber returning to write RED sequel

It’s convenient that this rumor comes just days after Red received a Golden Globe nomination, but the real reason for the sequel’s impending existence is simple math. At $90 million domestically and $164 million worldwide, Red is Summit Entertainment‘s largest earning film to date that’s not a Twilight film.

Not only are Jon and Erich Hoeber working on a Red sequel for Summit Entertainment, but they’re also working on a Man on a Ledge script for them as well. However, it’s good to keep in mind that just because a sequel’s script is being created doesn’t mean it’s a sure thing just yet. Although, with good reviews, a crazy cast, and lots of material to work with, I’m pretty sure we’ll be seeing more from the people in the picture above.
