Joseph Gordon-Levitt doing Little Shop of Horrors remake

0

Get ready for another remake. Joseph Gordon-Levitt is developing Little Shop of Horrors as a starring vehicle. He’ll likely be playing Seymour Krelborn, the nebbishy so-and-so who cares for a carnivorous alien plant he names Audrey II. If not Seymour, Gordon-Levitt will probably dress up as Audrey II, kind of like Dennis in that one episode of Head of the Class (Season 3, Episode 13: “Little Shop ‘Til You Drop”).

The only other names attached to the project right now are producer Marc Platt and writer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa. Aguirre-Sacasa is best known for his work on Glee and Big Love. He’s also written numerous original plays, salvaged the script for Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, and penned several comic books, including the adaptation of Stephen King’s The Stand.

Based on Gordon-Levitt and Aguirre-Sacasa’s involvement, I assume this will be a predominantly hyphen-named production. I eagerly await news about John Rhys-Davies, Daniel Day-Lewis, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Tiffani-Amber Thiessen, José Luis García-López, and Yuen Woo-ping hopping aboard.
