Substitute Teacher - Key & Peele

Jayquellan! Balakey! De-nice! A. A. Ron! O Shag Henessy! Films come out of the weirdest places these days, but when their source is one of the most watched Key & Peele sketches it all makes sense. According to Deadline, Paramount has bought the pitch, Substitute Teacher, and will be turning it into a full feature. This makes this the second film in the works for the duo with Keanu, a film about two guys posing as drug dealers to save a cat, currently in the works for New Line.

Rich Talarico and Alex Reubens (who produce the series) will write the script, and Keegan-Michael Key will play the titular substitute teacher who thinks upper class white kids are trying to make a fool of him. Jordan Peele will play a competing substitute who’s trying to be the favorite, and this sounds awesome.

I don’t know how much can be wrung from a three minute skit, but if anyone can do it, it’s this crew.
