By Comedy legend Leslie Nielsen has died at the age of 84, Manitoba radio station CJOB68 is reporting.Â
The star of comedy classics Airplane! and The Naked Gun series, Nielsen had been hospitalized with pneumonia in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida nearly two weeks ago. His nephew, Doug Nielsen, told the radio station that the actor “fell asleep and passed away” after his 12-day struggle with the illness.Â
Nielsen is survived by his wife Barbaree and two daughters, Maura and Thea.Â
