Linklater/Delpy/Hawke finish shooting Before Midnight

0

Good news, everyone! The sequel to Before Sunrise and Before Sunset has finished principal photography! That’s right, the rumors about the Richard Linklater shoot in Greece were all true, and Julie Delpy’s denial and Ethan Hawke’s half-truth about developing the film were just a bit of good-spirited subterfuge. Above is the first image from Before Midnight, the confirmed title of the film.

Linklater, Hawke, and Delpy released the following statement about the movie: “It’s great to be back together again, this time in beautiful Greece to revisit the lives of Celine and Jesse nine years after Jesse was about to miss his flight.”

No word on who will acquire the film, but Before Midnight will definitely be in theaters in 2013. Given the quick and ninja-like shoot and the interest in the film, maybe there’ll be a limited release before the year’s out?
