If you were one of the few people who actually went out to a theater to see Machete Kills than you already know what the above video is. See, director Robert Rodiguez had a trilogy in mind for his grindhouse character and Machete Kills Again… in Space was the third film of that trilogy. The trailer, which you can watch above, actually played before Machete Kills in theaters, and once the film was over it was easy to make the connections between the two movies.
Sadly, we probably won’t see Machete Kills Again… in Space thanks to Machete Kills‘ poor box office. The movie only brought in $14 million world wide, which is really not good. It’s really too bad. I would have loved to see if they could have actually gotten DiCaprio to do a stupid cameo and more of Mel Gibson’s awesome villain wouldn’t be a bad thing at all.
