Mad Max: Fury Road has finished principal photography

Principal photography has wrapped on George Miller’s Mad Max: Fury Road. The shoot took six months to complete, mostly on location in Namibia and South Africa. The production (with an estimated budget of $100 million) was delayed for months because unseasonable rains had turned the usually barren desert into a lush, flower-filled landscape. The film stars Tom Hardy as the title character once played by Mel Gibson, Charlize Theron, Nicholas Hoult, and Zoe Kravitz.

Miller, the driving force behind the other films in the series, described Fury Road like so:

Mad Max is caught up with a group of people fleeing across the Wasteland in a War Rig driven by the Imperator Furiosa. This movie is an account of the Road War which follows. It is based on the Word Burgers of the History Men and eyewitness accounts of those who survived.

There is no anticipated release date as of yet, though look for more info as the months progress.
