Everybody’s favorite Wahlberg brother understands the bond between a man and his teddy bear. “Marky” Mark Wahlberg is in talks to star in Seth MacFarlane’s directorial debut, Ted. The Family Guy creator’s film revolves around a man whose transition into adulthood is being interfered with by his best friend, who happens to be his childhood teddy bear. The catch is the teddy bear’s alive! Ah! MacFarlane will also co-star as the voice of the, presumably, titular teddy toy.
Ted is an R-rated, live-action/CGI buddy comedy being produced by Media Rights Capital and distributed by Universal Pictures. It should be interesting to see how MacFarlane’s sense of humor will translate on to the big screen. Do you think it’ll be like an elongated Family Guy episode, or will it be revolutionary enough to catapult MacFarlane’s budding directing career to Apatow-like heights?
