Martin Freeman joins Captain America: Civil War

The Avengers: Age of Ultron finally premiered last month, and albeit The Avengers: Infinity War is quite a few years away from our screens, it seems Captain America: Civil War is basically the next Avengers movie in all but name, as Martin Freeman has been added to the already sizable cast.

We don’t know who the delightful English actor will play yet, but he will join a few people… Just a few though: Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olson), Falcon (Anthony Mackie), Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan), Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman), Baron Zemo (Daniel Brühl), oh, and of course the Captain himself (Chris Evans). There are also a few rumoured characters, but I think this list is enough for now.

I don’t know the comics very well, so I have no desire to toss out any speculations as to who Freeman will play, but I think it’s safe to say he’s a good addition to the cast.
