Men In Black 3 suffering further production problems

Men In Black III was already rushed into production without a complete script in order to take advantage of New York tax breaks potentially on the verge of expiring, but having taken a three-month break over Christmas to finish the story off (during which time the NY tax breaks were renewed), Collider are reporting that it still isn’t finished and David Koepp has been called in to finesse the remaining issues. With much of the existing material having already been filmed, there’s not much room for manoeuvre until the writers’ work is finally completed.

The plot revolves around Will Smith’s Agent J travelling back in time to save his partner K (the returning Tommy Lee Jones, with Josh Brolin as his younger self) from being murdered by a villainous alien, played by Flight of the Conchords‘ Jermaine Clement, triggering a butterfly effect that could eventually destroy the world, as these things tend to do. Emma Thompson, Alice Eve (respectively playing the older and younger versions of love interest Agent O), Alec Baldwin and Nicole Scherzinger are the other newcomers to the cast.
