Metallica: S&M² - In Theaters October 9th (Trailer)

20 years ago, heavy metal legends Metallica teamed up with the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra to produce “S&M,” a symphonic album of Metallica’s original songs. It was a glorious concert that mixed two genres of music many thought were diametrically opposite. 20 years later, the two are teaming up again for another go at it.

If you won’t be able to attend the concert, though, fear not! A limited theatrical run of the event will be available in theaters nationwide for you to watch. While the above trailer states “One Night Only,” that’s actually inaccurate. Some theaters will be showing the concert on October 9, 14, and 16 to let as many people as possible catch the show. With all of the new music Metallica has produced since 1999, it’s definitely going to be a treat to hear newer songs given the symphonic treatment.

You can head on over to the official website to find a theater playing this near you. Ticket prices aren’t much more than a standard movie (coming in at $13.52 for my local theaters), so you won’t need to break the bank to see this.
