Michael Keaton pretty sure Beetlejuice 2 isn’t happening

No matter how many times you repeat the word Beetlejuice it appears the ghost with the most is most likely not going to appear. Though rumors (bordering on confirmations) have been constantly swirling about a sequel Michael Keaton himself has put some pretty strong nails in the black and white striped coffin. When asked by Variety if he knew anything about a sequel he said:

“No. Zero. You always hear things, that this is happening, and people seem to know more about it than I do … it’s possible that ship has sailed.”

I’m not too upset here, especially since he went on to explain that it would be nearly impossible to do it right since it was so improvised and so based around the vision of Tim Burton. Especially because of the latte in my opinion. Burton’s “vision” hasn’t been so great for a long time and I’d hate to see him come back and ruin his own masterpiece.

Keaton concluded:

“There are certain movies that are like Indian burial grounds. You never ride over them. Bad s— happens if you cross that. You don’t touch certain things. They are sacred.”

Preach, brother. Though, maybe there’s a way.
