In the previous film debate we tackled one of the largest storytellers of any medium: Stephen King. With over 100 movies to choose from, it certainly wasn’t an easy choice, but four films stood out to the Flixist community:
- The Mist (3 votes) — Winner!
- The Shining (2 votes)
- The Shawshank Redemption (2 votes)
- The Green Mile (1 vote)
This week, in honor of the bizarre and intriguing NSFW trailer for the new Sleeping Beauty film that reminded me of Eyes Wide Shut, we’re going to take on another huge name in the movie industry. Stanley Kubrick’s list of films are as varied as they are powerful, and I love how many fans — or even critics — feel sure that one of his films is clearly better than the rest, only to discover someone else feels the same way . . . but about a different one of his movies.
Cast your vote in the comments below and let us know why you made your pick! I look forward to reading everyone’s thoughts on this topic and urge people to politely offer potential cons to others’ picks to express why they didn’t vote for that title. Check back next week to see which film won the debate!
