Mulligan, Adams, Morton may join new Spike Jonze film

Rejoice, good people. A new Spike Jonze film is on the horizon, and the cast is beginning to fill out quite nicely. Carey Mulligan, Amy Adams, and Samantha Morton are all in talks to join Joaquin Phoenix in this new film.

As for what the movie is about, there is some conflicting information. It might be the long-rumored Spike Jonze/Charlie Kaufman political satire, though sources with Deadline have speculated the new project was penned by Jonze himself and centers around a man who falls in love with the voice of a computer.

If it’s the computer movie, it’ll be Jonze’s first solo screenplay for a feature-length film. He actually wrote and directed a beautiful 30-minute short film called I’m Here in 2010.

In case you haven’t seen it, I’ve included Spike Jonze’s I’m Here after the cut for your viewing pleasure.
