New art for Guardians of the Galaxy, bit of Ant-Man talk

0

EW is busting out with Marvel’s two new hero movies coming out during Phase 2 of their awesome movie universe: Guardians of the Galaxy and Ant-Man. The pretty picture above is some concept art from the film that shows half-man, half-alien Peter Quill (Star-Lord) encountering a ship on earth and another bit of art that shows the team around a table almost like dogs playing poker (except it’s a tree and a racoon and some aliens). With the casting pretty much nailed down for the leads (Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista and Zoe Saldana) it looks like things are shaping up nicely, if not a little weirdly, for the film.

The entire story actually covers all of Phase 2 and features both Gunn and Marvel’s head of stuff Kevin Feige discussing where everything is going. As such we learn that casting for Ant-man isn’t a go yet and that Guardians will indeed be within the continuity of the other Marvel films, just on the other side of the galaxy. It’s a good look at what Marvel has planned out as their movie universe unfolds further.
