By When the first trailer for Alien: Covenant landed I was pretty excited as it looked like a true return to from for the series after the oddness of Prometheus. I mean just check out this new picture; it’s basically a small crew waiting to get killed. I’m guessing when a new sneak peak of the film lands tomorrow during the premier of Legion we’ll see at least two or three of their deaths.
So far we haven’t seen any of the philosophical, heave handedness of Prometheus at all either. I’m sorry if you’re a fan of that, but I think it’s a very good thing for the continuation of the series. While the franchise has always had some thoughtful sides to it it clearly works best when its about fear… and xenomorphs. Those are really key.
