New Releases, week of 1/18/13: Really Good Week Edition

Looks like last year’s award winnings movies and indie releases are finally hitting home video. And each of them is worth a watch. First off there’s You’re Next, a horror film that came out of nowhere to become one of last year’s best films. Secondly there’s Lee Daniels’ The Butler, which might not be too bad, indie darlings The Spectacular Now, Fruitvale Station, 20 Feet From Stardom, Short Term 12, Enough Said, and A.C.O.D., which are all extremely good films that you should see immediately. 

And then there’s Carrie, Riddick and something called I’m In Love With a Church Girl. It can’t all be good folks, but at least there’s something for everybody.

In re-releases, you can get a full Riddick collection, Rififi and Thief join the Criterion Collection and Pride and Prejudice is released again for giggles. Hit the jump for the list of notable home video releases for the week.
