New Releases, week of 12/14/13: #FAMILY Edition

It’s a big week for home video releases. First of all there’s the elephant in the room. Fast & Furious 6 hits home video after the tragic death of Paul Walker. The silver lining in all of this is when you buy it (and you will buy it because it’s one of the best movies of 2013), part of that sweet DVD money goes to the late Walker’s charity. Secondly, Despicable Me 2 and Man of Tai Chi arrive this week, and both are very interesting movies. One of them is just more adorable than the other. 

In notable re-releases, Mary Poppins has a 50th Anniversary Blu-ray ahead of Saving Mr. Banks‘ run through theaters, Big gets a 25th Anniversary release, Grey Gardens joins the Criterion Collection, and the entire Gatchaman anime series is now available in one collection.
