New Releases, week of 2/16/13: Bond… James Bond Edition

Today is the day that Skyfall hits DVD and Blu-ray. Not only is the movie badass, it was declared Best British Film at the BAFTA Film Awards last weekend. Skyfall‘s release today is accompanied by a number of James Bond Blu-ray re-releases, including Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace, GoldenEye, On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, The Spy Who Loved Me, and The Living Daylights.

But there’s more out this week than the new Bond joint. Also out today are Stephen Chbosky’s The Perks of Being a Wallflower, The RZA’s The Man with the Iron Fists, Sundance 2012 darling The Sessions, the anti-bullying documentary Bully, a Criterion Collection release for Jean-Pierre & Luc Dardenne’s The Kid with a Bike, and Silent Hill: Revelation.

Though the re-release side is dominated by Bond this week, you can also find some Blu-rays of Pete Walker movies. Walker is a horror/sexploitation/cult filmmaker from Britain who worked predominantly in the 1970s.

After the cut, all the new stuff on DVD and Blu-ray and three covers of Bond songs.
