By I’ve been looking forward to the final Hunger Games film since I liked Mockingjay – Part 1 more so than everyone else, apparently. The second half of Mockingjay (before its terrible ending) is much better than the first, but I’m a bit worried since there isn’t any substance to it. If the second film can mine some good material out of all of the hollow action, then I’m sure it’ll be fine. But by the looks of the latest trailer, I’m not so sure anymore.
This trailer is awful. It’s like the kind of fan made YouTube video you’d see, but with better production value. Titling it “For Prim” also gives away a big book moment, and highlights one of its worst issues. In the book, folks just [redacted] all over the place for no good reason and we might just have to live through that nonsense again.
