I’m not a huge anime or manga fan (I’ll stick to One Piece thank you very much), but I really dug Rurouni Kenshin and the films adapted from the series. The story of a former assassin who’s turned a new leaf and refuses to kill fighting shadows of the former era is really solid, slick, and full of intriguing characters. The film adaptations have somehow translated all the awesomeness to screen.
While the second film, Kyoto Inferno, had a bit of a pace problem as it’s mainly for exposition setting up the final film, The Legend Ends is the result of all that build up. Kenshin’s final fight with Shishio is great in the anime so here’s hoping it’ll be great here too.
Rurouni Kenshin: The Legend Ends has already released to Japanese theaters and home video, but we’ve gotten a new trailer promoting its European release April 17th. I’ll take any excuse to put this up, haha.
