NYCC: Cosplay from Friday and Saturday

0

It’s been a long, strange schlep through the Javits Center for this year’s New York Comic Con, which included a random encounter with Tom Scharpling of WFMU’s The Best Show, the exchange of money for more comic books than I have time to read, and watching a surprisingly trim Chris Elliott (yes, from Eagleheart) show people his abs.

And of course, there was the cosplay from Friday and Saturday, a testament to the ingenuity of the human spirit, the resourcefulness and creativity of fans, the devotion people have to their favorite characters, and the inability for people to look away at such wonders, especially when it’s a hot chick showing lots of midriff and/or gam. (If only they’d just keep it out of the main thoroughfares of the show floor. Well, maybe not all of them.)

Here’s a gallery of some of the cosplay I was able to photograph through the convention. There should be some more from today. And on that note, I gotta get over there.
