NYCC: LEGO Spiderman Special coming to theaters next year

This year’s NYCC had a heavy dose of our favorite web-crawling superhero Spider-Man. First, we got a glimpse into more of the upcoming film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse. Now LEGO and Marvel are bringing us LEGO Marvel Spider-Man: Vexed by Venom.

Fans heard the announcement during a Marvel Animation panel where they teased some of their fun and upcoming projects featuring fan-favorite characters.

A neat preview clip of the current season of Avengers Assemble, Black Panther’s Quest was shown and it looks pretty sweet. It is really awesome that Spider-Man is getting his own special and the premise of it sounds very intriguing.

Venom and Green Goblin team up to steal tech and it’s up to our favorite Neighborhood Spider-Man to stop them before they destroy NYC. You can be sure fans will check this out and it’s nice to see another collaboration between Marvel and LEGO.

It’s got a stellar voice cast too featuring,Robbie Daymond (“Marvel’s Spider-Man”) as Spider-Man/Peter Parker, Ben Pronsky (Aldonah Zero”), as Venom, Josh Keaton (“Voltron“) as Green Goblin, Laura Bailey (‘Marvel’s Avengers Assemble”) as Gwen Stacy/Ghost-Spider and Tara Strong (‘My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic“) as Mary Jane.

If you love all things Spider-Man like I do, you will 100% want to check this out. Who knows this could also hint at a new LEGO Spider-Man video game? Sadly no official release date has been set yet nor has any teaser trailer been released. LEGO Marvel Spider-Man: Vexed by Venom is due out in late 2019
