Once Upon a Time in Hollywood casts Damon Herriman as Manson

Casting news continues to pour in for Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Justified‘s Damon Herriman was cast in a supporting role as Charles Manson, the neighbor of the characters played by Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio. While the story won’t focus on the famous Manson killings, it will play a role in the story of how DiCaprio and Pitt try to leverage the murders to find work in a transitory Hollywood.

Also joining the cast is Rumer Willis (Empire), Margaret Qualley (The Leftovers), Dreama Walker (Compliance), and Costa Ronin (The Americans). Willis will play real-life actress Joanna Pettet, Qualley will play a character named Kitty Kat who could be based on Manson family member Kitty. Walker will also take on a portrayal of real-life actress and singer Connie Stevens, with Ronin playing actor and murder victim Voytek Frykowski.

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood which is Tarantino’s ninth film, will release on July 26th, 2019 and features an ensemble cast telling the tragic tale of the moment where the veil of Hollywood’s charm was ripped off forever.
