By These new photos from Sam Raimi’s upcoming Oz The Great and Powerful show a re-imagining of the classic Wizard of Oz world. Oz TGAP will take on the origin story of the Wizard of Oz himself, when an unsuspecting small-time magician played by James Franco is suddenly whisked away to the fantasy world of Oz, and meets several witches and creatures along the way.
Check out the images below for a good look at Michelle Williams, Mila Kunis and Rachel Weisz as Glinda, Theodora and Evanora, respectively – as well as a look at a decent-looking CGI flying monkey. Oz The Great and Powerful is due in theaters in March of 2013.
