By The Batman has certainly been heating up in the news department these days, which only makes sense. With Joker being the film on everyone’s scarred-red lips, interest is turning towards the man who might stop such a kooky clown.
Matt Reeves’ film just cast Zoe Kravitz as Selina Kyle, the suave and cunning Catwoman. Now the rumors are circling another iconic character from the Caped Crusader’s rogues gallery, though this one’s less likely to kiss and make up with ‘ol Bats.
With Jonah Hill rumored, though ultimately out of the picture, Paul Dano (12 Years a Slave, There Will Be Blood) is now being sought for the role of Edward Nigma. Who’s that? That’s right! The Riddler! Variety reports that the role has been offered to Dano, with confirmation to come soon, one would imagine.
Much was made of Robert Pattinson’s casting in the titular role, though the whiners seem to have died down. Let the man act!
The Batman is on track for a June 25, 2021 release.
