Oh boy, Game of Thrones fans you better make sure you took a bathroom break before settling in for the new season. Peter Dinklage just released the actual run times of each episode for Season 8, and man they are long. He described that each episode will feel like you are watching a feature film. That is just how much content they are packing into each of the only six (yes, that’s right) episodes that make up the final season. It will be the longest series in the shows nine years on the air. Season 8’s final episode will be a crazy 80 minutes long. Dinklage posted this via his Instagram.
I, for one, believe there is no such thing as too much Thrones, so bring it on. It is bittersweet however to think that these will be the final episode run times we will ever see. Game of Thrones sure has been a wild ride and is sure to end on a high note, depending on how you view it. The total run time of this season will be 7 hours and 20 minutes. Fans have eagerly been awaiting the final season since 2017 so I am sure they won’t mind the extra long episodes. Who will finally end up on the Iron Throne is the ultimate goal after all and it’s going to be an emotional rollercoaster.
So fans, get ready for April 14th because Winter is finally here.
