Phoebe Waller-Bridge lands $20-million-a-year deal with Amazon Studios

It is a good time to Phoebe Waller-Bridge. The Fleabag writer and star is pretty much the hottest writing commodity going right now and her 3 Emmy awards just made her hotter. She’s so hot in fact that Amazon Studios has agreed to pay her $20 million a year so she’ll keep making shows for them.

Actual details on the deal aren’t out but Variety reports that $20 million number and the fact that both the star and Amazon are “thrilled” to continue working together. The deal doesn’t seem to be exclusive as she’s still involved with a host of other projects, including finishing up the screenplay for No Time to Die, the next James Bond film. She doesn’t just do comedy so the Amazon series could be anything or even multiple projects. We’ll just have to wait and see.
