By I think if I made a list of movie sets that I’d like to hang out on the movie set for Piranha 3DD would be damn near the top. If the epically awesome Piranha 3D is any indication it would basically be tons of funny people, lots of fake gore and a whole lot of breasts (possibly a digital penis as well). Sounds like my idea of a great time. With filming kicking off on the sequel it’s only a matter of time before we get to see the results of that great time on screen.
The film is being directed by John Gulager who has some previous horror experience direction Feast, which was so-so. The cast includes a bunch of “that guys” in the former of Danielle Panabaker, Matt Bush, Chris Zylka , David Koechner, Meagan Tandy (Unstoppable), Paul James Jordan, Jean-Luc Bilodeau, Hector Jimenez, Adrian Martinez, and Clu Gulager. Of course this makes no mention of the bevy of porn stars I’m sure they have lined up once again and whatever awesome cameos they’ll be parading out.
The press release for the beginning of production had a plot description in it, but I’ll paraphrase for you: blood, boobs and fish with sharp teeth in a waterpark. The film opens November 23.
