I love that Prometheus‘s viral campaign, in comparison to so many others, has been reasonably low key. There’s some new stuff every once in a while on the Weyland Industries website, we had that neat TED talk, and now there’s this commercial from Weyland introducing David, Michael Fassbender’s android character from the upcoming film. The commercial, invoking Apple’s simple iPhone ads in a small way, seems to suggest that David is possibly the first of the line of white-blooded, highly-sophisticated androids that we’ve seen before in the Alien universe.
This is a small bit, but it’s still got me that much more excited for Prometheus. I’m a lifelong superhero fan, and this is still beating out a Nolan Batfilm and The Avengers with Joss F**king Whedon at the helm.
