By R rated films are extremely rare films, let alone stop motion animation, so I really wanted this first trailer for Hell and Back to succeed. It’s certainly got the pedigree as it’s handled by the same animation studio that works on Robot Chicken, Shadowmachine, it’s got TJ Miller and Bob Odenkirk, but somewhere along the line it all tragically fell apart.
I’m most likely going to see the final film just to support the media, but it’s chock full of cursing, terrible jokes, and some bad voice acting all around. It’s just trying way too hard to prove it’s an “R.”
