By Horror movies often have plenty of back story on the villains to make them more intimidating, but there’s not a lot on what they do after they’ve frightened little boys in hotels or killed everyone in their dreams. Photographer Frederico Chiesa, along with makeup artist Carolina Trotta, decided to depict a few villains once they’ve grown tired of their antics…and, you know, aren’t dead at the hands of the protagonist. Darth Vader is included in the set despite not being a horror villain, but apparently just being evil gives one a much more comfortable retirement.
I particularly like the reimagining of the twins from The Shining, though I suppose they’re not technically the villains in that movie. All grocery shopping and no play makes Jack a dull boy.
