By Roberto Benigni, best known for acting in and directing the 1999 Best Foreign Film Academy Award winner Life is Beautiful, might be in Woody Allen’s next film called The Wrong Picture. Jesse Eisenberg, Penélope Cruz, Ellen Page and Alec Baldwin are already set to act in the project.
While Life is Beautiful is an amazing movie – a personal favorite – Benigni hasn’t been seen much since then. It’s a shame really, because his exuberance and zeal for life is captivating. I wish I could see more of him, but as of yet, there has been no official announcement of whether or not Benigni is attached to the project. Benigni fans, keep your hopes up!
