Rogen says no Green Hornet sequel any time soon

We quite enjoyed Seth Rogen’s take on The Green Hornet and it did well enough that the studios would definitely consider a sequel, but it doesn’t look like they’re considering it too. Collider spoke with Rogen at Fantastic Fest this year and asked him about the sequel coming along and he confirmed they won’t be making one in the near future.

“Not any time in the foreseeable future. It’s just not something we’re interested in right now.  It’s a lot more fun to make cheaper, much dirtier movies,” Rogen said in relation to another Green Hornet.

I can see where he’s coming from, but one of the best parts about Green Hornet was that it felt dirtier and different from most superhero movies. The very attitude that is stearing him away from another Green Hornet is the reason he should make another. Drop the budget if needed and expand off everything that the first one got right.

You guys think a second Green Hornet is warranted?
