Ron Burgundy is writing a memoir/autobiography

Anchorman: The Legend Continues is set to come out on December 20th, but that’s not the only thing Ron Burgundy-related you’ll be seeing at the end of the year. On November 19th, you can get a copy of Ron Burgundy’s memoir Let Me Off at the Top! My Classy Life and Other Musings. The book will be published by Crown Publishing Group, a subsidiary of Random House.

According to the news release, Burgundy will “share personal anecdotes about the women in his life, about his dog, Baxter, and his legendary news team.” Burgundy is quoted in the release as follows: “I don’t know if it’s the greatest autobiography ever written. I’m too close to the work.”

As Dave Itzkoff at the ArtsBeat blog notes, Adam McKay and Will Ferrell are the writers on the Anchorman movies, so one would expect the two of them to be the driving forces behind the memoir.

As of press time, there is no word on a Brick Tamland scratch-and-sniff pop-up book. Check out two new pics from Anchorman 2 in the gallery.
