By It seems that this project has a slow and steady trickling effect that keeps on giving. First we heard that Spike Lee would be directing the Oldboy remake, which both disgusted and intrigued people. Then we heard that Christian Bale was going to play the villain and that got everyone’s attention. Next it was Josh Brolin’s casting as the American version of Dae-su. Now Rooney Mara (The Social Network, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo) is being rumored for the role of Dae-su’s daughter (renamed Marie in the remake). This comes as a great surprise as Rooney Mara is hot. She’s got that whole innocent-but-sexy thing down pat. She’s a pretty good actress as well. Here’s hoping the rumors are true!
